Keira Christina Knightley was born on March 26 1985. At the age of 3, she requested her own agent and with her parents permission she started acting at the age of 9.

Keira is best known for her roles in period films such as King Arthur, Pride & Prejudice, Atonement, The Duchess, The Edge of Love and more. She also showed us a more comical side of herself when she played the damsel in distress turned pirate, Elizabeth Swann in the first 3 Pirates of the Caribbean movies. Keira is currently promoting her new movie A Dangerous Method with co-stars Viggo Mortensen and Michael Fassbender.




Keira: You certainly don’t make, well I certainly don’t make films or go into films going “ooh, this could be the one” because it has to be about the film itself. It’s not about the [awards], it’s about just trying to tell that story and try to get as much creatively as you possibly can so that you can do your job to the best that you can possibly do it.
